CADita is a parametric 2D CAD online design tool from Standards Applied. Draw exact geometry, control it with dimensions and relations, prove it with 2D FEA, and deliver clean DXF drawings, all in one place.
CADita follows the conventions working designers already know. Lines, arcs, circles, ellipses, splines, and points combine into fully defined sketches. Automatic relations capture intent as you draw, and Dimension drives the geometry to exact values. Every edit keeps the rest of the drawing consistent, so the sketch stays correct as it grows.
Dimensions in CADita are parametric. Change a value and the geometry follows. Precision, tolerances, and reference dimensions follow standard drafting practice, so the sketch reads like a proper print.
Coincident, tangent, parallel, perpendicular, symmetric, and equal relations lock in design intent. The status bar reports Under Defined, Fully Defined, or Over Defined at all times, the same discipline expected of professional 2D CAD work.
The FEA tab turns finished geometry into an analysis study. A guided walk-through covers materials, fixtures, loads, and meshing, then presents stress and deflection results directly on the part. Checking a design with 2D FEA online, before anything is made, keeps rework off the shop floor.
Each study proceeds in order: geometry, material, fixtures, loads, mesh, results. Adaptive meshing refines where stress concentrates, and results report in standard engineering units.
CADita reads and writes DXF, the exchange format every CAD system understands. Import a DXF to continue an existing drawing, or perform a DXF edit online in minutes: open, adjust, export. The result is ready for CAM, laser cutting, or any downstream CAD system.
Many shop drawings exist only as PDF files. The Import PDF tab extracts the drawing, scales it to real dimensions, and hands it to the sketcher as geometry you can measure and edit.
Intro is this overview. Sketch is where you draw and dimension. Import PDF brings existing drawings in. FEA analyzes the result. A project saves every sketch and study together in one file.
Parametric sketching with relations, dimensions, tolerances, and multiple sketches per project.
Guided stress and deflection studies set up in six steps, with results shown on the part.
DXF import and export, plus PDF conversion for drawings that exist only on paper.
